I’m Dr Francine Wint, an Educational Psychologist registered with the Health and Care Professions Council. I have 10 years post- qualification experience, working in South Yorkshire.

In 2023 I set up working independently as a practitioner psychologist, doing so alongside my role as a tutor on the doctoral training programme for educational psychologists at the University of Sheffield.

I feel passionate about psychology, ever since being introduced to it aged 16 as an A-Level student. I then completed a joint honours psychology and law undergraduate degree, after which I trained to be a secondary school teacher. I taught Psychology and Law to students aged 14-18 years and became the lead for the subjects. In 2010 I accepted a place on the educational psychology doctorate, and relocated to Sheffield.  I still feel just as passionate about psychology now, and value the difference that it can make when evidence based psychology is applied to real world situations in order to help others.

I love living in Sheffield, particularly the live music scene. I enjoy exploring the Peak District, I run (slowly!) and I have recently started life drawing classes. I currently grow my own vegetables as well as my two young children! I have an interest in all things vintage and am slowly filling my house with ‘treasures’ from salvage yards and charity shops. I find animals to be wonderful company and I am a proud owner of a dog, a cat and a snake called Grogu.
